Home trigger job write up

There were some questions on the race sear thread about home done trigger jobs vs the drop in sear. The home trigger job is basicly a full custom trigger job while the drop in sear is a one fits all solution.

My son Htown posted a video of the trigger on his XD. There were some questions a far as total trigger movement so I took some measurements. The following pics show the trigger at normal position and the trigger fully depressed with fireing pin released and all overtravel taken up.

OK I pulled out the calipers and got better measurments.

Total travel from trigger at rest to fully depressed with all over travel taken up is .219
Total pretravel from rest to all pretravel taken up is .125
Total overtravel .094

I'm trying to locate a scale to measure weight, I'll post some pics of my trigger later too.

Htown original video.

Hey Agalindo,

Hope all's well with you and your son.

Wondering why you're ordering up a stock sear?

I just DROS-ed another XD (this time, a 9mm V10). Email me if there's any updates as for your thoughts on the trigger.

Best regards!

Created a video of my XD with 99% of the pretravel gone. I've shot it and have had no problems with it. All safteys are still working.
