New gun belt!

I just received a double layer bullhide gun belt from www.thebeltman.net in the mail today. I got it in black with the plastic stiffener inside and the nickel buckle. The belt is almost 1/4" thick and it feels like the only way to bend it over would be to run over it with an SUV.

There's an option to get velcro on the inside, but since I have the comp-tac paddle holster and not the c-tac with v clips there wasn't much point. The buckle is removable using screws, so you can replace the buckle with whatever you like.

I used to use a thick single layer 1.5" leather belt, but this is in a totally different league. As you can tell, I'm very impressed and can't wait until the next IDPA event.

Thanks Jim!

Right now I am using a Wilderness Instructor 5 stitch belt but definitely have plans to get one like you have from The Beltman. I've heard nothing but good things about him.

I just got my belt from thebeltman too. It was in the mailbox yesterday. It only took about a week and a half to get it, which was much quicker than I was expecting. Quality is outstanding!

Do you feel that the 1.5" is definitely the way to go versus the 1.25"? I only ask because this will be my daily wear belt obviously and I'm a younger guy; I don't want something that is going to look too huge or dressy you know? Thanks in advance.
*Edited* would the 1.25" be sturdy enough?

1.5 is wide( i prefer the 1.25 for a CCW dress belt)

I have 3 of them, they are great!

I wear the 1.5" daily with jeans and slacks and it doesn't look out of place or make me look like I'm obviously carrying - that's also my wife's opinion and she's quick to tell me if what I'm wearing doesn't look right.

How about getting the 1.5-inch belt tapered to 1.25-inch? I'm seriously thinking of going that route.

The Belt Man charges $15 extra to taper a 1.5" belt down to 1.25" in front. Sounds reasonable.
