Thigh holster for XD45ACP?

Do they make a holster to hold the XD on your thigh area?

Dozens are made that will fit the XD and Fit it well. If you want a straight setup, look at Tactical Tailor and Safariland.. Eagle Industries have a few that will fit as well. There are others, you just have to decide what you really want.

Me I went with at TT universal holster rig some time ago. The reason is that I want one platform for all of my medium and large frame pistols. I got the TT universal and a small subload MOLLE panel. The universal holster was sized off of my SIG220 and works just fine for it, the XD45C and my PT92. Hell it even holds the wee bitty PT145 just fine. Not to mention you have the versatility to swap out the holster itself without having a whole second, third or what ever number of rigs. The down side is that TT doesn't make a universal for weapons with lights.. I'm working with a custom maker to correct that and will have a holster available in about 45 days that is modeled on the TT but adjustable - without the bulk or BS involved in the Blackwater Universal Adjustable holster -

If you want Kydex.. Safariland is the sheit.. 6004 for no light 6005 for one with.. though they say the XD holster molded around the XD45 w/ TLR-1/2 will not be available until March-ish.

There is a ton more to be said here, but that should get you started. Stay away from cheap junk, you'll just end up replacing it for a number of reasons. As for riding high on your leg, 99% of them are height adjustable via the strap that comes off the belt.

www.tacticaltailor.com

Please note that I'm a huge fan of Tactical Tailor products. They're just swamped with Mil orders and are not catering to non-deploying folks ATM. I'm fine with that, their products are worth waiting for. I'm just miffed they won't work up my holster design.. so I found someone who will. Again I'll have proto-types and pictures real soon..

While this is a shot of my much better half, it's the same setup as mine, her's rides a little lower because of where she has the belt. The top strap with my rig rides half again as high up on my leg as her's. I don't like having things that close to my knees..

I love showing this one off

These two should give you another view of the differences between how I wear mine vs. how she wears the same panel and holster..

Well I can't speak to an exact itteration because I bought mine with the SIG220, Walther P99 and PT92 in mind. The SIG is a pretty close match to the XD, but I imagine if you specify a Glock of one flavor or another you'll get a much better fit. Mine holds the SIG, XD45, PT92 and PT145 along with all of my roomates Glocks more than fine for general range use.

Again this rig is universal- ish .. the holster does not hold a weapon with light attached.
