I am getting ready to start the police academy and have purchased an XD40 service {4 inch} pistol. The academy requires a triple retention duty holster to carry in class and at the range. Every store I have been to just carries holsters specifically made for Glock's. All of these holsters are made by Uncle Mike's. I even called Uncle Mike's and I got two different answers on the same day about a specific holster for the XD 40 service model pistol. No one seems to know of a triple retention duty holster for this model of gun yet. I even went to the police supply store and they have the Uncle Mike's for Glock's but not for Sprinfield's. Does anyone know if there is a triple retention duty holster that is specific to the Springfield XD 40 service pistol {4 inch model]? I am sorry this post is so long but any help would be appreciated. P.S. Uncle Mike's told me to try to use a Pro-3 Triple Retention Duty Holster {size 25} and then another person from there called me back and said to try a Pro-3 Triple Retention Duty Holster {size 28}.

most of the safari land stuff comes in triple retention.

regardless of what you choose you should do at least several hundred practice draws . start slow at first then speed up.

Jake has one he bought for the academy From Old schools sister. He is a guard now and not sure he needs it I give him a call tomorrow.
It is Safriland I think was about 100 bucks
