Great holsters. Tucker is a forum sponsor. I have friends who own and carry the Answer IWB and love it.

I ordered a Tucker HF1, gunbelt and double mag pouch in November. I should be here any day. I'll let you know what I think when they come in!

I had a choice between a Milt Sparks VersaMax II and a Tucker Answer - I tried botth and found the Tucker to be not only more concealable but more comfortable. I have one on order now for a Sig P239. Good company to deal with, excllent customer service and a lot shorter wait than Sparks. Shown is the Answer with a Smith 1911 Commander.

Tucker makes excellent products and their customer service is on par with the quality of the work.

I have a Tucker Answer to carry my XD Service and its the most comfortable holster I've tried. Excellent quality and customer service is top notch. They may seem more expensive then some of the other holsters, but in my opinion its well worth it.

Tuckers are VERY good holsters.

I have one for my 5" 1911s and love it. In the 5 years I have owned it, it has held together very well and it carries the heavy 1911 very comfortably.

A big thumbs up for Tucker leather goods...his stuff is top shelf!

Kraigster,

What is your overall impressin of this holster? Compared to the kydex models out there.

I am now interested in a leather IWB. I own a UCH and tried a friends CTAC, and found both to be unconfortable. At first I blamed the UCH, but now believe it is due to my clothing. I wear Wrangler's, and they fit tighter than loose fit jeans. Leaving me less room to pack IWB confortably.

Since the mouth of the holster isn't reinforced, does is affect reholstering? Not that it is super important, just curious.

Your imput is much appreciated.

Just a note from the maker. The all-leather holster shown is identified as the Answer but it is, of course, the Tucker Texas Heritage.

The mouth of the Texas Heritage is not reinforced and cannot be reinforced using that particular design. That's what led to the Answer using Kydex and leather together.

Some insist on one-handed rapid re-holstering, many do not. We spend lot's of time carrying, rarely drawing and re-holstering. All day comfort is a primary concern for most. The Texas Heritage takes a few seconds to re-holster if the gun has been out of the holster for a few minutes.
