Mag spring question
Here's what's probably a dumb question. but it seems logical to me that keeping a full 10 rnds in my 9mm mag (I live in NY

Short answer.. cycles is what will kill your mag spring. Keeping the mag compressed or loose does not matter.
I keep extra on hand and change them when needed. Some factory springs do not seem to hold up well, such as the ones in my CZ75. After a few thousand rounds they got replaced with quality springs.
