Glad to see you picked them up. Ralph did a great job of getting them made amazingly fast. He made the final changes within days of taking my .45 home with him to get the perfect profile and was in production immediately after that.

Hey Old School

Would the Arredondo extended base pads benefit from extra power springs? I know they're brand new, but how much testing has been done for long term reliability? I'm going to order a couple anyway, but would appreciate your thoughts.

I am excited about these extenders. I will post my experience with them after I have used them for a while.

Thanks again for the service and products pistolgear!

My question is, and I think I already know the answer, if you add one of these extensions to a California 10- round magazine, is it now an illegal magazine (where applicable)? The mag still only holds ten rounds, its the base plate that holds the extra rounds...splitting hairs?

LOL, Basepads do not expand capcity on restricted capacity magazines, ie. 10's or 15's because they have a dimple to stop extra rounds from going in.

Putting a base pad on so you can seat your magazine with a magazine well on it is one application that is valid without expanding capactiy.

If you take a limited 40 mag, whether it be for the fullsize of the subcompact, each mag, with the extension, will hold 11 rounds without any struggle. I suspect the 9mm mags will have the same "problem".

That said, if you buy them and fill them, for the benefit of using them a purely an extended basepad because of a magwell, I don't see any issue with that.

Hey Scott,
What's the word on a new/improved magwell that will be compatible with these +3 extensions? (sorry for coming in late on this again, but I've been away on a job)
