response from Storm Lake Barrels'...
Hi Folk's,
This was a Response from Storm Lake Barrels this morning, with regards to the question I sent to them late last night. As you are aware the are the manufacture of the Sig Sauer GSR barrels, and very inexpensive "drop-ins" for the glock and other manufactures.... ..."We are currently starting the developement phase of the Springfield XD beginning with the XD 9mm. It will probably be a couple of months out before we begin full production." enjoy.

I can endorse the quality of Storm Lake barrels since I've got one for my Glock 23 and it provides increased accuracy (everything else being relatively equal). HOWEVER, I will mention that because of the tighter tolerances it is less forgiving when using reloads and I've experienced a few FTF due to incomplete lock-up. For non-reloads (new ammo) it performs without flaw and my groups tightened up 1" at 15 yards.

I believe you may be confusing the SIGARMS term GSR and the word barrel. SIG has a new 1911 style pistol that they named their 1911 GSR (which stands for Granite Series Rail). You may have seen or read something about the GSR barrel being such and such. But I am not familiar with anything called a "GSR barrel" but rather it may be the (SIGARM's) GSR barrel....but I certainly could be mistaken also.
