Fobus holster
I know the holster issue has been beaten to death lately here. but I did a search for Fobus holster and didn't find anything, so I figured I'd ask. Is it a piece of crap? I know everyone will say get a Crossbreed but really, thoughts on the Fobus please. Also I am trying to raise my XDtalk status from Newbie.

I have one, and its perfectly fine and reliable... as most will tell you. I use it for IDPA and long car trips... cant beat the price either. Only problem is that its not too great for CCW, at least not mine and its a paddleback. Light weight, cheap, and almost indestructable too.

Fobus- my run to the corner store for a minute holster.
There is an acknowledged flaw in that the paddle and holster body can be separated in a violent twisting motion (ala gun grab attempt). The regular Joe CC carrier will probably never encounter this so it may or may not be an issue to you. It works, it's cheap...........I make leather gear so I am obviously biased a bit, but it does serve it's purpose for me and a lot of people love them.

the first holster i ever got for my xd waas a fobus roto holster that my dad got me for christmas 2 years ago. it is great for the range but that is about it. it dosen't fit close enough to the body for good concelment, and the screw that keeps the paddle locked in place, that allows you to rotate it likes to come loose and that to me is a no go, and since i like to train as i fight, i no longer use the fobus roto holsters. the only other fobus i have exerience with is the fobus my dad uses with his glock 19 which is okay and a little better on the concelment side of the house but not much. the biggest draw back to that one is that is has no adjustment screw and you really have to tug on it to get it out.
