New XD Gear holster
Not sure how new it is at this point, but has anyone tried the new XD Gear paddle holster? does it come with the boxed sets made from here on out?

The paddle holster does not come w/ the XD Gear box sets when you purchase a gun. The XD GEAR belt holster comes with it along w/ a speed loader and mag holder.

yes, I have one. Fits all XDs, everything from my XD9SC to my XD45 Service. Adjustable cant, elevation adjustments. I and many others here have cutdown the front side to allow for faster draws, otherwise has a tendency to bind up unless you pull exactly straight up. I'm sure you can't use for IDPA though, since the holster is positioned away from the body.

I bought it and I didn't like it at all.
First of all, it was way too tight. Even after using it constantly for over 2 weeks, it remained extremely hard to draw from. Even with the retention screw on its loosest setting, the holster nearly refused to let go of my xd. Somtimes, when I tried to draw my gun I would pull the entire holster from my belt! I had to file some of the plastic away so it would fit correctly. The adjustable cant was nice. However, the holster stuck out from my side too much for concealed carry. Like other roto-holsters (but worse IMO) the design causes it to stick out quite a bit. If you are looking for a good paddle-holster, I would go with fobus. I have an sp-11 (non roto-style). It doesn't stick out much at all and the fit is perfect. It is only $25.99. Here is a link https://secure.fobusholster.com/cata...roducts_id=238 They also have a roto-version, which I've seen but did not try. The only good thing I did notice about the XD-gear paddle holster, was that there was a rail to put a mini-light when it is not in use. However, I would not find this as useful as a holster that would allow me to holster the gun with the light attached. With the XD paddle you have to remove the light, put it on the rail of the holster and then holster the weapon. Overall, the XD paddle holster had a very cheap feel and I would not recommend it.
