I purchased a Pakmyer slipon grip for my XD 40 service model - had to make a very small adjustment (cut out a 1/4" tab to accomodate the grip safety). Other than that, it worked out fine. I would suspect the Hogue Handall works the same.

I put a Hogue on my XD. Hogues are my favorite grips. But it just don't feel right on my 45 Tactical. I guess I'll try some Decal Grips or some skate board tape. I'll keep trying untill I find what I want.

I put a Hogue on my XD45 service, but the cut I made to clear the grip safety kept creeping bigger and bigger till fully split off.

I've just ordered precut grip tape for $8 from www.tractiongrips.com. for my XD45. I had this on both XD40 and XD9sc and really like them.

Heres my XD9 with a hogue grip. It works great and have never had a problem with slipping nor has it ever interfered with my grip safety.

If you look closely enough you can see my decall grip on my XD45 GAP on the far right of the following picture. I would have to say the hogue is my favorite!

Remember, when you put a slip on grip of any kind on your firearm, to always make round corners any time you have to modify the grip by cutting it. That will limit the chance of the grip spliting or tearing.

Just finished putting the Hogue HandAll on the RugerP97DC. Now that was TOUGH. The grip on that pistol is totally different than the XD and it was really difficult to get it started and up the sides. Finally went on and had to trim just a very small amount from the bottom of the rubber. Feels a lot better than the slick plastic they use for this gun. Nice improvement for a small dollar investment.

Thanks for the resopnses. Bycyclist can you please send me a pic of your grip if you can. I looked on the web site and did not see any pics on the site.

I also wanted to know that other than the slip ons if anyone knew about the major manufacturers making full grip mods etc...
