i got tired of the "coming soon", so i bought a set of the X/S big dot sights. i use my xd40/tac for IDPA and the sights are great and fast to pick up.

I am not tired of waiting. While I would have liked to have the sights earlier, I am encouraged by the fact that Chaim has delayed shipment rather than sending out a product that is not 100%. The firearms industry is plagued by "rush to market" errors in both weapons and accessories (an $800 handgun should function out of the box [bite me, Colt] and two sets of tritium/fiber optic sights with the same lot number should have comparable brightness [you can bite me too, Tru-Glo]). Hats off to SureSight for taking the time to assure a quality product.

If the sights ship by the 8th I should have them installed and tested (.40 subcompact and .45 tactical) by that Friday night and will report back. I shoot steel with a couple of GMs and a couple of cops who want to try them and I will give you their comments as well.

When the news report says "Police fired 52 shots and the suspect was hit 3 times" I wonder in what other profession a 0.058 success rate is tolerated.
