I have 3 different belts. I have 2 "tactical" style belts, one made by Uncle mike's and one by Wilderness Tactical products.

I have one leather belt from Galco but it was expensive.

I do not wear the leather belt very much as i don't want to destroy it. I tend to wear the Wilderness all the time, and I have started wearing the Uncle Mike's belt as my duty belt in my USAF uniform.

How much does the belt matter? Is it supposed to be stronger and can better withstand the torsional forces applied by a holster or something? What's wrong with a good Ole, quality American made leather belt?

I'm not trying to make a point, I'm just curious.

Well from what I understand by people on the forum, a thicker sturdier belt will keep it from drooping on the side the gun is on. Helps to not give a way that you are carrying, and for comfort.

So it's for OWB holters? I wouldn't think it would matter with IWB, as long as you don't have some cheap wally world belt. I've never had a problem with open carry. I actually haven't concealed yet as I've been living in West Virginia since before I got my CCW in May. But that's ok, cause I probably won't have my Crossbreed for another 4 weeks or so.

Do Crossbreed owners wear these?

Well from my knowlege it's mostly the comfort issue over anything else, spreads the weight out more evenly. I had a nice leather belt from walmart actually that held up pretty well, even used it as an underbelt for my service belt at work. The thing finally broke though, so thats when I bought the Bianchi under for the Bianchi service belt Never knew what I was missing.

Wow, I guess I never thought about it. What about those belts that have the hidden pocket in the back that is able to store cash and stuff? Has anyone tried those for CCW?

I use a double thick gun belt made by Tucker. I also use it when I don't carry as it works great with jeans.

He also makes great holsters. I have three of them and have a fourth on order. Some of the finest workmanship out there.

Wilderness Tactical

I use and really like the Wilderness Tactical belts, either the CSM or 5 stitch. Since it doesn't use holes, it is infinitely adjustable, I can change it to match my carry mode and wardrobe and still get a good snug fit. Sometimes you need to adjust the belt just 1/8 of an inch to get it to fit perfect. CAN'T do that with a standard belt with holes.
