EFK Firedragon 9MM Conversion Barrel for XD40

Hi All,

I have an XD40 and I recently purchased the 9mm conversion barrel from Firedragon and I have a question.

1. Can I use the same magazines that I normally use when using the 9mm barrel. I have two 40 and two 357 sig magazines that I use when shooting 40 cal?

If I can't what do I need to be able to use this barrel. I'm going to be trying it at the range tomorrow so if I don't find out here tonight I'll find out tomorrow.

Thanks!

We suggest you use 9mm mags to reduce the chance of issues, however you can use 40 mags if you want.

Use the 9MM mags, I think

I tried my 40 mags with the 9mm conversion barrel today and have to say that it's not pretty. I didn't have any 9mm mags but I'm going to try them next and hope for better results.

I had multiple failures of many interesting types using the 40 mags. I don't recommend this method. I'll post an update after trying this barrel with the 9mm mags.

My experience has been that the .40's will feed in the 9mm mags but the 9's will not feed in the .40's. A bit of lip bending solved the problem. That should stop the feeding problem. Extraction was my biggest problem.

Im hopping to make .40 sc mags reliably feed 9mm. # extra rounds for CCW.....Assuming I can make it realiable, but that souldnt be hard.
