Mepros or Trijicons?
Trijicons are the ones available from SA if you buy the XD with night sights from the factory, but I have heard good things about the Mepros as well. I have no illusions about mounting anything myself. I figure I'll use XD-HS2000 because I may get the new coating on the slide since mine is wearing off the right side by rubbing on the XD gear holster. The only question is, do I get the Trijicons from XD-HS2000 also or get the Mepros somewhere else and give them to him to install?

I also sell the Meprolights, and would give the advice save your money go with the meprolights. At least with the meprolights you can also get the option of Orange or yellow rear sights. Meprolights are manufactured in Isreal and imported by Kimber. The meps are name brand sights you will not loose out on anything going with them.

A vote for the Trijicons here.
I've had several guns with them and they are very easy to use in low light.

One guy's opinion: the Triji's are easy to see at night, true...but I can't find 'em quickly at all in daylight. Then again, I'm middle-aged and half-blind...but I do know guys with good eyes who still find the need to paint around 'em due to similar problems.
Other options to consider would be the Tru-glo TFO's and XS Big Dots. Up until a couple weeks ago, I'd have recommended the TFO's highly, but the tritium/fiber tube on my front sight fell out (just before heading to a 4-day TDI class) and Tru-Glo customer service is, um, "difficult" to get on the phone if my half-dozen calls are any indication.

I prefer Meprolight over Trijicon. They are easier for me to see in the daylight.

I have Trijicons on my XD and I've had 2 guns with the XS 24/7 sights which use tritium tubes made by Trijicon.
I smacked my front sight of the XD on a port in an USPSA match. Trijicon fixed it for free. I've been a real happy customer of Trijicon products. Nothing bad to say about the Mepps, I've never used them.

Mepros
I have mepros on my XD 45 Tac. I agree that they are better for day time shooting. I have no problem with them in low light either. I picked the mepros because I felt they worked good in all conditions. I installed them myself and found that one of the tubes on the rear sight was not working. I called the company and they sent me a new one in 3 days. The mepros are sold in the states thru Kimber and they took care of me fast and honestly.
