I used stair tread material (sandpaper with sticky backing) I bought at the Home Cheapo. Works great and I have enough to put on all my pistols if I want! I made a decal out of paper and traced it to the tread material. Even wet it won't slip!

I just gave my newly installed grips a run today for the first time and I couldn't be happier. The Agrips are complete goodness on so many levels, my compact 45 didn't budge in my hands at all. I tend to get sweaty hands when I shoot, not really badly but I guess normal sweat (plus the range has no AC) enough to cause me to have to readjust my grip every couple of rounds. With the Agrips, there was none of that. Very comfortable feel, like suede, no slips at all. Awesome product!

Ok, so let's just say I had a Hogue hand-all grip on my XD-357, and it was the bee's knees. But now, I'm pistol-less and I've got a wife with small hands, and a hankerin' for a .45. Should I opt for a .45 and just eat the cost in grip, or is there an option for me? The wife barely accomadates the .45's grip, and I wouldn't wanna add more to it.

I know the Agrip adds close to nothing in size to the grip, it's VERY thin material. If she can grip the 45, the Agrip would definitely help I think. If not, well then you'll just have to take it off her hands then right?

I use Decal Grip (sandpaper style) on my XD, and my wife uses AGrip on her Glock 34.
I have to admit that I really like the way the AGrip feels on her Glock. It provides a nice gripping surface that is almost silky, but feels secure. I usually don't care for the feel of Glocks, but the AGrip on her 34 makes the gun actually feel pleasant to hold. But I still prefer the Decal Grip on my XD for serious competition or carry. I also like Decal Grip over skateboard tape because it is applied only in selective spots rather than wrapping around the whole grip. It also looks better. I put Decal Grip rubber texture model on my Glock 23 because I didn't want the sandpaper style to rub a hole in the inside of my jacket/sweatshirt when carrying concealed. Provides a nice grip texture on the gun, but it does noticeably thicken the grip and I am not sure that I like it (the Glock grip is already borderline too big for my tastes). |

The AGrip website says that some minor trimming is required after installation on a SC. Has anyone done this minor trimming and can you explain what minor is? Grip length for sure but how about girth?

I put the Agrip on my 45 compact last week and I had to trim about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch off. Didn't have to trim any on the girth, can't speak for subcompacts but that should give you an idea on some trimming with a compact.

![]() Here's my SC40 with Agrips. The trimming comes into play at the bottom of the magwell cutting about the width of the magextension off, also the contour just above the mag release could stand to be trimmed (I haven't done that yet as seen in the pic), the Agrip material is extremely flexable and will mold over all of the contours of the weapon (you can see that also in the pic, as the SA-XD stamp on the side of the grip is visible along with the rear strap texture). I have them on all of my XD's, you won't be dissapointed.
