I will try the sandpaper type of Decal Grips if I ever remove the rubber ones currently on my Tactical. I do notice the grip is slightly larger with the rubber in place. But I'm blessed with long fingers, so don't consider that an issue.
I wanted the AGrip on the carry guns so I wouldn't be concerned with the rubber "grabbing" my clothing as I drew the weapon. Thew AGrip feels nicer than the Decal Grip does. |

But now I have decal grips on. Just did the home job and made some myself. I absolutely love them. Gun feels a lot more secure in my hand now. I'd imagine the rubber grips would do teh same thing. I had a hogue grip on my XD and I loved it, but just got sick of it sliding around after a while. But with the stick on rubber grips, that shouldn't be a problem. I actually wanted to get these but opted to try the home job with the traction tape first. |

If you have sweaty hands, Pro Grip may be a better option for you, especially is you don't want to change the feel/girth of the grip. Beyond that, it is less money than most grips.
Used and endorsed by USPSA Master Shooters to enhance their natural grip for increased recoil control and more consistent accuracy. Non-sticky formula actually works with your natural skin oils to repel moisture and perspiration, and keep your pistol or rifle firmly in your grip. Non-toxic, washes off with soap and water; will not stain clothing or damage gun finishes. Bottle includes Flip Top.

Sand & Rubber Decal Grips
I use the Decal Grip both the Sand Paper style and the Rubber style.
The Rubber is slightly thicker, so I used that style decal on the sides and rear section of my XD. On the front strips I use the sand paper style which is thinner. This allows me to grip the front strap checkering tighter, than if I used the Rubber strips. Works great for me. You might want to experiment with mixing and matching the two styles to fit your individual needs. It really turned my XD into a custom feeling grip!

I had (sand) grip tape on my subcompact which I carry IWB, tends to irriate after awhile. The Agrips are real nice and they function better when wet so if you sweat on your gun IWB it just enhances your grip. I put Agrips on all my XD's, in 100+ degree heat I live in everyday they work well. You can also buy a sheet of the Agrip material and just cut your own pattern instead of buying the custom cut grips.
