The much maligned XD Gear Holster

Well Campers, it's not as bad as some make it out to be.

I injured my strong/left arm at work. Carrying lefty isn't in issue. SHOOTING lefty is a major issue. Until my arm is healed, I have to shoot righty.
I shoot a rifle righty. The transition is pretty seamless. Speed is down. That will pick up with time. Accuracy is about the same left or right. I am right eye dominant, this could be a plus down the road.
I plan to shoot the monthly match righty with the entire XD Gear setup. Wonder if Springfield will give me a free shirt?

Tried on the XD Gear Holster and have been living with it for over a week now. Packing it everywhere. Hides OK, rides OK. Driving or walking to the store is pretty easy and comfortable. Gun is canted the right way.
Not a bad holster. Draw is pretty fast. Right up there with the lefty holsters I have. Would work for IPSC/IDPA in a pinch. For a OEM supposed cheepy holster, this is pretty good. I have two XD45's so I have a spare I can keep in the car.

So my review is very postive. I won't waste my money on a new righty holster unless I decide to switch to righty permanently.

ZM
