Ick.

Maybe OK for some kind of shooting match where folks think they can compensate for poor stage design with a high round count, but useless for CCW and butt-ugly to boot. Don't get me wrong; it takes money and smarts to come up with a reliable +2 basepad...

But if it were a dog I'd shave its' butt and make it walk backwards (lol).

how about fugly? ONLY use I think anyone would have for them is competition for the extra weight and extra protection when dropping mags. Other than that, I may as well just glue a CD to the bottom of the mags, for the same look effect.. ugly lol.

When you consider the other base pads offered by Arredondo, I would have to agree that these leave something to be desired. I would have expected them to cover the entire base of the frame, including the area under the step.

Wow you guys are harsh ! Sure they're ugly but if they work your using them for competition then who cares if there ugly? Sure you don't need nor would you want them for CC but for competition they might be great.

I have several home made extended base pad and they run as reliably as a factory base pad. I wonder if they are still under 140mm. Looks like they were at least designed for the XD so they probably won't break off the ejector unlike the Peirce +2 for the Browning hi-powers some people were using.
