How Good Are The "Stick-On" Grips?

Thinking of putting some extra grip on my XD, and my Glock. What do you guys think of the stick-on grips? I want something that will add more grip, and not peel off, and not fold up when handeled alot with sweaty hands. I thought about the slip-ons, but unsure how much grip they would add to a sub-compact Glock.

I bought one of the die cut stick-on grips for my XD. After a couble of matchs the smaller peices came off. I stop at the local skateboard shop and bought some black skateboard tape and that stuff has stayed stuck on really well. It's a bit hard to get cut nicely but does work well.

The decal stick-on will come off quickly if you get some Breakfree on it. Otherwise they seem to be doing well. Only a couple time of use though.

The rubber decal lasted over a year on my carry XD sub compact.
The sand decal where pretty crappy.
The tru-grips are excellent and if you take your time will stay stuck a long time

I put the Pachmayr grips on my XD9SC and it works very well. I have not noticed any slippage when in use.

I've tried both the grip tape and the Kraigtser grip (bike tube cut down to size & shape). So far I think I liked the Kraigster grip better; it wasn't terribly rough on the hands like the grip tape is which could be an issue after several hundred shots at the range. And it was definitely easier to cut and form the desired shape.

Tru Grips are awesome, I got a set of 3 from a Karma about a year ago
I Still have the first one there and I shoot an awfull lot
They have held up really well and perform great.
It takes a little to get used to but you hand will build up a tolerance.

I used to to use a slip on Hogue but will never use one of those again

I've had the decal grips ( rubber ) for about 9 months now and the only prob. is the little thin pieces tend to peel at the edges if you practice drawing alot.
