New Crossbreed Quik Clip IWB Holster

Hey,THAT's not an XD but Mark will make one for your XD. Just got the new Crossbreed Quik Clip for my Glock 26 and am impressed. I carry my XD40 and XD45ACP in a Crossbreed SuperTuck but the new Quik Clip is easier on and off, still comfortable, and "cantable" too. Shown is a LH model.

I am well into week 5 of my 6 week wait. I ordered the QuikClip for my XD40 Service (left handed even) back in August, and the wait is killing me. lol

I received my QuikClip about a month ago and I like it a lot. After a few days I figured out the "sweet spot" for it, and it rides nice and comfortably for me now. It conceals very well, too, holding tight against my body.

I ordered mine for my S&W CS40 pistol, which is a compact single-stack 40... so not an apples to apples comparison for the XD. But, I do have a Comp-Tac CTAC for my XD-40 service, so I can make somewhat of a comparison. Not that the CTAC is uncomfortable, but the leather backing behind the QuikClip just makes it more comfortable than the CTAC. I think it holds the gun closer to my body than the CTAC does, too. The one thing I do like better about the CTAC, however, is that due to the absence of lining behind the firearm, it is easier to get a strong grip on the pistol before drawing. With the QuikClip, I've found it is harder to get my thumb around the gun until I am already drawing the gun out of the holster. It is just something I noticed while practicing drawing, and with practice is not much of an issue.

Another small criticism I have of the Crossbreed QuikClip is that it was very saturated with the black dye when it arrived. Again, this is hardly a complaint worth mentioning... I used a dry paper towel and some elbow grease to remove most of it, but I did notice that my hands would get black smudges when practicing draw from it. I emailed Mark and got a quick response with a recommendation of a $4 product from Walmart: Kiwi's Leather Lotion. I picked some up and it cleaned up the excess surface dye like a charm.

Final conclusion? It's a great holster and well worth the money and wait. It fits me well, never shifts on me throughout the day, conceals great under the clothes I normally wear, and is quite comfortable. Before I ordered I had concerns about it being "sturdy" enough with the one off-set clip, but it holds solid and never shifts on me. For those waiting for yours to arrive... you won't be disappointed.

I just ordered another Quik Clip for my Sig P239. The biggest plus with the Quik Clip is the easy on and off. And Mark has come out with a much improved clip that really "locks" on to your belt - even those thick reinfoced web belts that have become so popular.
