Light for XD?
I'd really like to have a rail mount light for my 4" XD, but not interested in paying obscene prices for it.
Suggestions? |

Other than suck it up and pay obscene prices, there's not much else you can do.

or you can do the "ghetto" way...take a 1inch scope ring, and mount it to a 1inch diameter rear end activating flashlight...attach it to the rails...and awaaaaaay you go.

Buy the XML
You don't want to attach anything cheap to the end of your weapon do you? Absolutely no offense intended! Pistol-Gear has them for the best price I've seen and they will ship it to you faster than you can track it online. If you want a cheap flash-light buy a cheap flash-light. If you want a light for you pistol rail buy a good one. If you ever need it, you'll thank yourself a thousand times over!

The ghetto way seems like the best way to me. You could prob make your own that is just as good or better than a expensive one

I did a "ghetto" style mount on my AR15 with a Surefire light. Worked great.
The Glock light was retailed to me at the local shop for about $90. Fits and looks great on my XD Tactical. The finish even matches the frame. Haven't used it much, but Glock doesn't usually build things that break easily.
