XD40 --> 9mm conversion barrel
Hello Everyone,
I have recently been seduced by the XD line, and I plan to buy an XD40SC in a week or so. I know that a 9mm conversion is available for the 4" service model. My question is, can I use the longer 4" barrel in the XD40SC model if I wanted to? (I know it would stick out past the slide, but the idea is that I want my wife to have fun shooting it at the range, but I know she would not take to the .40 shell) Thanks for the advice, this site a great resource! |

No you may not. the engagement surfaces are different. The barrel will not fit. I tried it with a friends XD40sc and my own 9mm conversion barrel.

Not to worrry, EFK did mention they are working on the SC conversion barrel. No specific dates were given but they waid it's in the works.

I don't think this year or next year will come true....I'm one of the waiting list victims too.
I have been waiting the conversion barrel for almost 2 years, making that simple barrel takes more than 2 years....come on, is not a rocket sciences. Asked them making an additional 1/2" longer drop in threaded barrel not conversion type, also not possible. Recommended buy XD40 service instead of subcompact! More existing accessories to play with. |
