Mine does this on 2 of the 6 mags I have.
Precisely WHERE did you dremel it?

I use mine, my palm does get a bit sore as well, but not nearly as sore as my thumbs would get w/ out it. I use it every time.

Wrap masking tape around the upper half of the magazine. Work the speedloader up and down the magazine. The rub marks on the masking tape will show you where to Dremel/sand the speedloader.

XD Gear Magazine Speedloader too tight?

When I first started shooting, I used the HKS loader. Then I got another XD which came with the "kit," so I used the OEM one. Then I just figured what the heck, I'll break my fingers in and load the cartridges in by hand. I never use a speedloader now. There's something about getting your hands dirty that's part of the shooting experience.

Perhaps its my delicate, pristine little hands , but I like the OEM loader. I just came back from a training class where several guys were razzing me about the speedloader the first day. 1600 rounds later my choice was appreciated much more.

I use it on the last 2 or three rounds with the XD40, I will have to try the Dremel trick...think that would make it work a lot better!

I use my hands. I find that if I put my pinky on the bottom of the mag, it is much easier to hold it in place when the last couple of rounds to go in.
