Just installed my CC extended mag release
in my XD40 Tactical. I'd downloaded the instructions written by ExtremeShot. Read them twice in fact because I didn't want to have to go to the gunsmith in case I messed up and drove the pivot pin too far.
The installation went very well and I can now reach the release with my thumb without shifting my grip. I did notice that the surface of the extended release was rather rough on the angled surface that actually moves the magazine catch itself. I used a Dremel tool and a polishing point with jewelers rouge to polish it to a smooth shiney finish before installation. |
