heinie sights

i was on pistolgear.com and was wondering if anyone uses heinie slant pro sights, and how they like them.

I love mine. I have them on every pistol I own. I have the 8's on my carry guns and the plain's on my competition guns.

I carry a XD-9sc. It came with Heinie slant eight night sights. The work for me in bright light or at night. I plan to add a pair to my XD-9 service model. At first I thought they were not big enough to see clearly in the day time. But after shooting several hundred rounds on IDPA stages I discovered I was moving the gun on target faster than with a gun using three dot sights. Another discovery I made with Heinie two dot slant eight sights is I was on the target and not aware of the sights. They were there but, not intrusive. I can't find the right words to describe shooting with these sights. I only know that for me they really work day or night.

Hello, Not to hijack the thread but, I bought my xd9sc slightly used, it came with the heinie 8 sights but for some reason the previous owner switched the front sight to a HI ViZ light tube. I was thinking about putting the front night sight back on. Does anyone have any thoughts why someone would switch the front sight in the first place and why I should'nt switch it back ?

People love to customize their guns. I have a Heinie rear and XD standard dot fronts on one of my pistols. If you want to change it then go ahead. You don't need permision, or blessings. Also Heinie will sell you just a front sight if you need one.
