Fobus Magazine carriers
OK for you XD 9 owners. Does the 9mm double stack magazine carrier from Fobus fit the XD 9 magazines??
Thinking of getting a XD 9, probably tomorrow, and trading off a G17 that I have all the Fobus stuff for. However if the XD 9 mags will fit the Fobus carrier, know the holster won't work but have that covered, I'll keep the mag carriers I have. Thanks in advance! Sarge

I have a Fobus double mag carrier that works with my XD 40 mags. They are secure. I don't know if the one made for the Glock mags will fit though, the Glock mags are wider than the XD mags. I think mine is made for the Beretta mags.

Well tried a XD 9 mag in both my double mag carrier and a single with flashlight holder (all in one holster), both paddle types, and neither fit the XD 9. SO guess I'll be looking for another mag carrier until my Tucker Leather stuff arrives.
Thanks all! Sarge

I have a Fobus double mag pouch for my XD40, it's a model 6909. It does not hold my Glock magazines.

I also have used the Fobus Model #6909 double mag pouch for 2 years in competition. Works great for my XD9.

I use the Fobus double magazine carrier with my XD-9. As noted there are two models. One is for Glock magazines. The other is for Beretta magazines. The one designed for the Beretta mags fits the XD-9 mags perfectly. The only difference between the Berreta mag and Springfield mag is the location of the hole for the magazine release catch.
The Springfield mag has the hole in the front of the magazine to accommodate the ambidexterous magazine release. In a pinch you can convert a Berreta mag to work in the XD-9 by drilling a hole in the front of the mag at the proper position. |
