Fobus Paddle?

Any thoughts on this holster? I know they've had problems in the past with gun grabs...that said:
I am going to be using this holster only at the range and maybe for some IDPA events in the future. I do not have my ccw and do not plan on carrying concealed until I am a sworn LEO; hopefully Fall 2007. When I start carrying concealed, I will probably buy a IWB holster for better concealabilty than OWB. I like the fact that I can wear this holster with a normal "Cowboy" leather belt and still get a good draw, where as with the Galco Matrix, I cannot draw with a normal belt; I'd need to buy a gunbelt.

So is the Fobus ok? Or is the Uncle Mike's Paddle Holster a better buy? How about the XD Gear paddle holster?
Any other paddle holsters under $30 that you recommend? (I'm a poor college kid)

Fobus is OK.

The XD holsters I've seen lately had a tension screw in them.

Too bad Blade Tech doesn't make their injection molded line for the XD.

I believe they are legal. Start at about page 29 here http://www.idpa.com/Documents/IDPARuleBook2005.pdf

I would imagine the the standard paddle would be fine. I'm not sure about the roto versions. As far as comparison with the UM paddles. I think you will be happier with the Fobus. To me the Fobus is a little more comfortable.

I know for sure that the roto version is not legal, thanks for your help! I really like how the fobus feels on my hip; I just need to make sure to wear an undershirt or tuck in, else the top starts to irritate my hip...maybe I'll glue a piece of fabric to the back...
