Magazine sleeves for SC
As a noob to this forum, let me start out with a (potentially stupid) question.

I have a XD-9 subcompact, with several of the 16 round magazines with built-in sleeves. I see where the sleeves are available separately for use on the regular mags. I have gently tried to remove the sleeves from my mags, but they don't want to move. Are they permanently attached, or not? It might be nice to be able to use them on other mags. If not, I guess I can always buy the separate sleeves to make larger mags more comfy.

They are not permanently attached; I had to wiggle mine pretty hard to get them to move.

not to hijack but are these true 16 rd mags? i have one with the sleeve and mine is 15 rd. just wondering. Thanks!

Mine are true 16 rd mags. They even have the visible hole for number 16..

I stuck a small, flat blade screwdriver between the sleeve and the base to get the sleeve moving, then slid the sleeve off. That was last year when the 16-round XD9 mags first came out and the local store only had mags in stock with the sleeves. Since I don't have a SC, I gave the sleeves away.
