Best Way to CC for Us Skinny Folk

Ok, so I'm 5'9" 135lbs, fast metabolism, active lifestyle, so yeah, what most would call "skinny". Anyhow, I'm going to be purchasing an XD40SC in the next couple of weeks, doing my CCW class on the 17th, and am really wondering what the best way to carry would be? I've seen most of the set ups on this site, SOB, IWB, shoulder, etc and can't seem to decide on which would be best not only for being comfortable, but to conceal the weapon properly. If anyone out there could reply w/ some suggestions it would be very helpful, maybe if you have a pic or link to the type of holster as well? Thanks in advance and look forward to hearing back.

How comfortable is it when sitting / driving? Doesn't dig into your side or anything? I also ride a motorcycle <cruiser type> and was probably going to get a shoulder holster to go under my jacket, but would the CTAC work for this too?

Thanks

It seems everyone has their personal favorite holster. Most have tried several, it's alot of trial and error finding what's best for you. I carry my xd9sc in a Crossbreed IWB Supertuck at about 3:00-4:00 with a forward cant. If I have too I also use an ankle holster but I really don't like too. Check the sponsors on XDtalk, they will be more than happy to help.

Yeah, that's what I figured was that it was a lot of trial and error, its just that when I have to order each one online <can't find any local in stores> it makes it hard to decide. Thanks for your input though, I'll check w/ the sponsors for sure, but would still like to hear peoples pro's and con's w/ their personal rigs. Thanks again

i am 5'10 155 lbs.. so im pretty skinny myself.. i only use one holster to conceal.. thats a galco matrix.. it conceals great with button up shirts and regular shirts.. if its to tight it wont conceal, thats where you'll need to use an IWB holster.. i set my holster at 3 o' clock and it rides pretty high.. the end of the barrel will protrude out of the holster about an inch, and the holster is almost flush with my belt.. i can take pics if youd like.. for 20 bucks.. you cant beat it...

That'd be awesome if you could take some pics - $20 is not a bad deal for sure. I usually wear t-shirts that fit sort of tight, so I might lean toward the IWB if that would work better...thanks and it'd be cool if you couldt take some pics. Defintely a better holster than the XD Gear one that comes w/ the pistol. Thanks

Funny you should mention. It is pretty comfy (as comfortable as carrying a pistol w/ 17 rounds could be I imagine). I also carry when riding sometimes, I ride an xr600 motard and a gs500. It tucks fine under my leather jacket, but under my textile I'm always worried about the jacket flapping around and revealing the pistol.

Gotcha, well, thanks for your input on it, I might grab one of those since they're only $20 and see how I like it but possibly look at a crossbreed or something else for the IWB. Thanks again and if you can post any pics that'd be cool.
