XD Gear holster issues
What the heck? I tried to put together my new holster, the screw seems too small to put in through the backside of the kydex, call me crazy but has anyone had this issue with their cheapo freebie holster? Rather odd time trying to force that baby in.

Yup, just dealt with this issue. The allen bolt is too short.
Now I just happen to have this drill bit set from Costco that has a chamfer attachment, and after removing 1mm or so from where the bolt head seats on the plastic, the bolt has enough bite on the nut for me to crank it down flush. Also you may have to tap out the nut and thread the bolt in to 're-tap' the threads again. Funny, I've had this holster/gun less than a day and already 'adjusting' things. |
