Question XD40 Service Holster Help Needed

I am wanting to carry my XD40 Service Concealed. As i live in Indiana, I believe we can open carry, but, I really dont see an upside in doing that.

I have been looking at IWB holsters, and bought a cheapy Uncle Mike's IWB that I used until I went to a local GunShow and got a generic holster to use, until I can get something better.

I'm not adverse to OWB or Shoulder carry, but I do believe the OWB would be hardest for me to hide.

I have thought about the ClipDraw, but I dont believe the Service Model would be well suited for it.

Links are appreciated

Thank You

Check them out.. I got the Bare Asset IWB to hold me over until they can get the "Down Under" made. If you choose one of the stocking items it can be at your door in less than a week. The other holster's are custom made to order so it takes a bit longer to get them.

I am also in Indiana, Northwest Indiana here, but nevertheless I've fought this same battle as you. I've got a XD40 Service, I've tried the OWB Serpa, OWB Stock SA Holster, IWB Uncle Mike's and still haven't found anything that I feel conceals well enough.

I JUST put a SuperTuck on Order with Mike, so I should have that to review in 4-6 weeks (since it's hand made) but everything I've read says it's top notch.

+1 on the Supertuck. Although, I do like a few highnoon holsters; they're a little pricey though.

Depending on personal preference, The clip draw works really well on the service models. The only thing that is a down side is your XD won't fit some accu-molded kydex holsters with the clip draw installed.

+1 on the highnoon IWB. The bare asset is what I carry my XD45 in. It fits great and very comfortable. It hides my 45 enough for t-shirt carry. I I don't have to wear a 5X size to get it to conceal. You don't have to spend 100-bucks to get a good holster.....

Good luck with your choice !

By the way- You can't call yourself an avid shooter and CCW holder if you don't have atleast 10 holsters per pistol. LOL ! none of which seem to work.

I've been using a Tucker Leather Texas Heritage IWB, although for a ...G36, for well over a year. I'm saving my pennies for one for my XD 45. Anyway it is THE most comfortable holster I've ever used and Robs service can't be beat and he is a XDTalk sponser!
My 2 cents is use what you need to until you can get a Tucker Leather holster and you'll not regret it!
