Yet another thumbs-up for Truglo TFOs
Bought a set of Truglo TFOs off an ebay vendor after talking to ajames who said he was out and didn't know when he would be getting in more. Also, Pistol Gear was sold out. Saw someone here post that someone on ebay was selling them so checked it out and sure enough there were several sets available.
Rear sight came off with no problem, front needed a fair amount of whacking with a bigger hammer and was brutal on my smith's brass punches, but off they came. TFO's went on with equal pressure, front and rear. The rear one a little harder than the original rear came off and the front a lot easier than the original front came off. A nice, firm fit. The XD45 has marks in the sight bevels to help with aligning the sights. The gap in the newly reworked model is much smaller. There is a slight gap but you pretty much have to hold it up to the light to see it. There is a set screw on the rear but I seriouslly doubt the sight will drift on it's own. That said, I did loc-tight it down. The gun shot to the exact same POA that the stock sights did - dead nuts center. Very easy and quick pick-up on the three dots, day and night. Did some low-light, no-light shooting yesterday - again, very good. Another pleased TFO fan. I searched long and hard, getting a lot of feedback from people here (thank-you very much!), before I purchased. If you like the three dot setup, and have aging eyes like mine, try the TFO's. They're great. M |

What is the size difference between STOCK and Truglo TFO? I'm VERY interested in the TFO sights but don't want to get the sights installed and find out the $200+ worth of holsters I have for my XD40 no longer are any good...

I am not aware of a single holster that is an issue with the TFO sights. The sights are not that much taller than the stock sights. If they had an adjustable rear sight, that may be an issue. If the TFOs clear the Blackhawk holster, and they do, they should clear everything else.

I Have a Problem with...........

TruGlo TFOs. It snags on the very bottom of the holster and will not let me do a quick draw. It fact, it almost takes both hands to draw from the holster. I am awaiting a reply from Mark to address my problem Ed |

I replied on the 25th to your e-mail at the web site. it went to 357sig1@xxxxxxx.net I did not see an undeliverable notification for it, sorry if it missed you. I will give the same reply here again Quoted message in blue " I recently posted a message in the crossbreed thread about this. I think it's on page 25. It is in multi color text and should be easy to find. Instructions are there for adjusting retention, the same method can be used to reform the sight ramp. Check it out and you may be able to perform the adjustment yourself. If not just send it in and I'll make the adjustment for you at no charge."" Sorry for the delay, I assumed you got my e-mail. Mark

Future CrossBreeds will have longer sight ramps to address this, it's not just the XDs. TFOs are very popular with lots of guns. For current CrossBreed owners switching to TFOs, see the above post. It is generally less of a problem or not at all with the Service and Tactical models. thanks

I just put in an order for the SuperTuck a few days ago, is there anything that needs to be done to support these TFO's? I intend on getting a pair within the next few months. Should we adjust the SuperTuck in any way to prepare for the TFO sites while you are in the process of makeing the holster?
