Tucker Answer IWB Ongoing review

Well, seeing as I just recently (this morning as a matter of fact) recieved my Tucker Answer IWB for my XD 40 service from a generous board member, I decided it was probably a good time to start a review.

First impressions of this thing are awesome. The craftsmanship is top notch, and everything is assembled very solidly.

The holster is adjustable with a series of holes for each kydex belt clip to go into. Once I find a wrench that actually fits (anyone know the size?), I will adjust it so it has a forward cant, which is what I prefer.

I found the backing of the holster (the part that touches the skin) to be very comfortable. The large area really helps spread out the pressure over a wider area. My previous holster, a Don Hume 715M didn't spread out the pressure as well.

The holster holds the gun very well using adjustable tension bolts on the form-fitted kydex sheath for the gun.

The kydex belt clips seem to hold on very well, even though I am lacking in a decent gun belt.

Its time to go watch 16 Blocks, so I'll continue this later. Hopefully by then I'll have the right sized bolts.

The application is CCW, and I will be wearing it constantly.

The 3/32" hex wrench is included with the Answer. Previous owner may have misplaced it. I'll send one if you can't find one quickly.

Also, you may want to use some blue Loc-Tite on the bolts, as I've had them back out on several occasions. They never fell out while I was wearing it, but when I'd pull it off, the bolt would go rolling across the floor.

But yeah, I've found the Answer to be everything I've needed and then some.

Blue Loctite is a good idea. We don't use it at the shop because you will be adjusting your holster later.

Well, after resolving the bolt issue, and finally finding a 3/32 wrench, things are going well.
For me, the most comfortable way of carrying is with a forward cant. The Answer holster can be adjusted with either a forward or rearward cant. I kinda wish there was a bit more adjustment as far as a forward cant goes, although the way I have it set up with the front clip adusted as short as possible, with the rear clip adjusted to be as long as possible makes it comfortable for me. A service XD can only be so comfortable for a skinny guy like me. This holster is by far the most comfortable thing I have worn.

I found that after time the leather backing of the holster conforms to the side of your body, which is awesome. Again, the backside of the holster is very soft and comfy.

This holster conceals very well with just shorts and a t-shirt. I think I am pushing it as far as skinny guys goes, anyone thinner than me may have issues. I'm 6' 3" at 165 lbs.

The holster came with two of the standard clips, and they hold the holster extrememly well. Tucker has a few other clip types available, so maybe I'll try those in the future.

Again, still impressed, I will update if anything else develops.
