$25.00 and you pay shipping and FFL fee (because you wouldn't want to take advantage of me, would you? ). Seriously, I would have liked to have had a set of TFO's as standard equipment along with the extended mag release but those would have added to the base price of my XD45. I still feel it is a good gun as is. Oh, and my offer still stands!

We all know there are a bunch of "do-it-yourselfers" out there that really shouldnt be doing anything themselfs. I personally know a couple of those. These are in fact handguns we are talking about and if the repair isnt up to par it could injure or possibly kill someone. I know they will allow you to purchase parts for the 1911, but how long has the 1911's been out. If you go to a local gunsmith and you ask them a question about a 1911 im almost certain they would know the answer since the are so common. However the XDs are fairly new on the market and are nowhere near as common as the 1911s. Everyone can work on a Honda......how many people can work on a Ferrari. I have yet to find a local gunsmith that would even do sights on an XD. The difference between the available information between 1911s and XDs is like comparing night and day. I am not saying I like having to send back a gun if a 5 dollar piece breaks, but I understand why they do so. As far as having backup parts...my thinking is why buy 1 when you can buy 2. I think we will all have to bear with them as the XDs become more mainstream and the parts become more readily available. Just my 2 cents.
