I have carried my XD45 Tactcal in a BlackHawk Serpa holster. It has been to the range many times. I wear it around the farm from time to time. I've used the holster in several matches. I liked it from the start. It took a little time to learn to use the latch but other than that I've not had any problems. I spent some time one evening adjusting the holster retention screws & the latch tension. I tried several differen't settings until I found the right combination for me. To make sure things stay the way I like, I put a small drop of Blue Lock-Tite on each screw. If you take a little time to fine tune this holster to fit you, it makes a big difference.

I just bought one for my XD40, I'm wearing it right now. I want to get use to it and I also want to get use to carrying my XD, ready to go. I am going to the DMV tomorrow to pay my CC fee, wait 24 hours for my app to get in the system, get fingerprinted, then wait.
So far, worn it for two nights. Comfortable, nothing digging into me, my XD fits snug and doesn't make any noise, I could see where things hitting it could. Secure, I have pulled on it, yanked it, tried to lean against the door frame to see if I can get it to release and I can if I hold it, put it right on the release and wiggle around, my wife thinks I have lost my mind by the way. I got work on the cant so that it hides better, I am showing a print pretty good. Luckily, in Tennessee, the state doesn't specify if we have to conceal or can carry open, so the law has been interpreted as both. I still don't want to announce it.

If you guys aren't... for this winter, if you need a good CC holster, just get the Blackhawk shoulder harness, and it's an instant heavycoat / zip-up solution. It's VERY comfortable, screws in using the same mounting system, and holds two clips on the offhand if you have the CQB Mag holders too.
