the guide rod laser is the most accurate laser. do this simple exercise and you will see why.

1. draw a straight line on a peice of paper left to right, we will call this the actual line of fire. aka the actual travel line of the bullet. we will call the length of this line 40 yards.

now the most accurate laser would be if the laser was positioned exactly where the bullets lies. for the purpose of this exercise we will only observe the positioning of the laser as higher or lower not side mounted.

2. next the laser max laser mounts 4 cm below the barrel and is at perfect zero at 20 yards. so put a point 4 cm below the bullets point of origin and a point at 20 yards (halfway) through actual travel line. continue line to end of page.

this shows the innacuracy of the lasermax laser. at point blank it is 4cm innacurate at 20 yards dead on and at 40 yards 4cm innacurate (shown by the endpoint of both lines)

now a railmounted or underlight mouted laser. the line starts lower and ends higher so at point blank, it is already over an inch off. this means that at 40 yards you will have the same innefectiveness. of course and inch doesnt matter much point blank or at 40 yards but why not get the most accurate you can??
