XD 40 Tactical replacement springs

I ordered a "Wolff Variable Power Recoil Spring 1911 Government 16-1/2 lb" for my XD 40 Tactical from midway. It installed perfectly. I just looked for a spring that was for a 1911 government model. The only thing that caught my eye is that the replacement spring was substantially longer. After installing the spring the resistence was still considerable less. Does anyone know what the stock spring weight is?

I use the Wolf 18-1/2# 1911 Goverment Model replacement recoil spring. http://www.brownells.com/aspx/NS/sto...+RECOIL+SPRING works great. part # is 969-419-180.

Next time get a rod and spring from pistolgear.com
You'll get exactly what you want.
