My buddy has an XD Sub-compact. He's not a huge pistol guy (he has the XD and a 357mag revolver). He bought the subby because he wanted something small that he can take hunting, as a secondary firearm.

He's dead set on getting a thigh rig for the XD, but he's not looking to spend a whole lot (~$50 or less). He also would preffer it wasn't too bulky, and that it came in something other than black.

I own a Safariland 6004 that I showed him. He thought that was a little too bulky, and obviously it's out of his price range.

Any other suggestions?

Uncle Mike's makes an inexpensive thigh holster for the XD Service model that will also fit the XDSC. The holster has a thumb break and can be found for less than $50.
