If I was going to go with a drop leg. I would probably go with the Blackhawk Serpa with the drop leg platform. This set up not only gives you retention but also gives you basically three holsters in one. Buy the Serpa holster which comes with a paddle and belt attachments, then buy the drop leg platform that the serpa will mount to. that way you use the same holster for everything. Just my .02

The 6004 is a good rig but I found one that's even better, the HSGI thigh rig is what I use today. Matter of fact, I have 2 of them, one in OD for stateside use and one in desert for times when the wife or myself take our "vacations" to far flung lands. The single thigh strap of the HSGI is a lot more comfortable for long term use than the dual straps of my old 6004. The shock chord and mesh backing stays snug and the weapon where it's supposed to be without shifting yet still expands when your thigh muscle contacts without cutting off the circulation. Personally, I looked at a Serpa but after doing more research on them, I won't use one. Seems they have problems with debris jamming the locking mechanism leaving you with a pistol in the holster that you can't get out!
