Handgun safe
Im wondering if any mass retailers keep these things. WallyWorld doesnt seem to have them, and oddly as it may sound, Target doesnt sell guns at all. Weird huh?
Im really not wanting anything very big, just big enough to hold a handgun or 3 at most. I know I can ebay one, but the shiping is almost as much as the safe itself, and I dont really see a point in that. Anyone have any ideas? |

Wally world shows this small one for 7.+ shipping (to me anyway). It really looks like a decent quick electronic access safe for the price.
http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=2221464 You could also check out the regular electronic access safe's but they would not be quick access like this one. Edit: Here's a pic of it open: http://www.mydiscountstation.com/vau.../prod_181.html Last edited by saltysquid; 07-01-2006 at 03:19 PM. |

Check out your local gun shops - they usually have a few or know where to get them.

Although I would really like to get the sale, (thanks saltysquid for the link to my site)
I have to tell you a little advice. Jump on that safe from wal-mart. Walmart usually sells at retail prices. and looking at the other safes they have, they are all at retail prices. The only safe that is below wholesale price is the DAC. Maybe they made a mistake in pricing. maybe they got special deals.... all I know is, their price on that safe is lower than the price of my wholesale suppliers provide for me. wish I could stock up on it myself..... but money is tapped out at the moment. oh well, at least I have them beat on the gunvault anyway that is a pretty good safe. I gave one to my dad. |

no matter what safe you go with,
Try to go with one that has somekind of back up. Batteries can go dead at the most inoportune moments. I have a safe that is disguised like a radio. (forgot where I got it from) But it is plugged in (yes it does play music). has a battery back up. and has a key back up. If somehow I can't get this thing open....... it is no ones fault but my own. I should have gotten a brain back up.

I bought one at Farm King for $59 with the fingertip buttons. It works pretty well, although you sometimes have to hit a button a couple times for it to "activate" and the buttons to start beeping.
