I have some PT night sights on a Steyr M40, they're great. At night. Just OK during the day. I don't know if Sig sights fit the XD or not, I think they can be made to fit. Personally, I think the Truglo TFOs are worth the extra money. Unless the majority of your shooting is at night.

yes they will I have them on my XD40 TAC and XD45 TAC they work great, Be careful not to crack the vial in the front sight when installing as I started with a used set I got off the trader board for $25 but the front was real dim as the previouse owner had slipped and damaged it, I got 4 sets when CDNN put em on sale (they retail for $89 from the manufacturer) and so far they are perfect one of the other sets is on my custom CZ 52 which I'd machined to use Sig sights a few years ago the 4th is slated to go on a Mak that I've also modded for Sig sights

SIG Sight pusher. Best investment I made.

The actual SIG one is just a little bit more. HMMM... they look the same too... Kind of like SIG magazines and MEC-GAR magazines... HMMM...

The only problem is the rear sight on the XD doesn't fit so you have to grind off a little on one side or both, ruining the rear sight(not that I had any problem with that).

actually the rear sight went right in on both my xds, in fact I think it was just a tad easier than the stock xd rear sight was at least it installed faster than my xd40s stock sight reinstalled back when I removed it to see if it was as bad as some said it was ec...

I like the grn frnt red bar rear it really does work better FOR ME in fast low light shooting as the bar ads an additional means of leveling the gun without actually thinking about it your mind just naturally levels the green bar as the sights line up

XD Love, if you get those, let me know. I would be very interested to see how you like them. I saw them too and wondered the same thing.

dstorm1911- so they will 100% without any doubt, fit without any problems? If no problems, I am going to order some!

So how did they work out for you? I Just got a set of trijicons for my xd45 service. When I got home inoticed they were for a sig 229 instead of the sig 226(xd ones). I called the shop back and told them they put on the wrong ones, they said they are all the same. If this was true, then the trijico site would say so instead of saying the front sight was different.

I was just wanting to know how bad is the sighting with 229 sights is?
Anyone else with this (a 229 sight on an xd)?

The SIG sight cuts are all pretty much the same. Other people will chime in here soon, but they are fine. I have 229 sights on my gun right now.
