yes i have the "big dot" on my xd 40 tac, that i use in IDPA. it's very easy to pick up FAST.

I use the Standard dot as my front sight on several of my pistols. I have the full set with the standard dot on my P229 ,and they are very fast. My XD has a Standard on the front with a SIG white bar rear, also fast and easier to take more acurate shots with. I am swaping that with a Hienie slant pro rear to make the elevation correct(SIG sits a little low), and give me a better combat sight.

I find that target acquisition is very fast. The
'Big Dot' is much bigger that the "standard"
size. The latter for range work and the Big O
for close up work - like in self defense.

Oh did we mention the tritium inserts in those are so frickin' bright they might ruin your night vision! Very good sights. I want to see them make a version like the TFO(patent problems?) but that would be a cool home project. HMMM.....

I have the standards om my CZ97B, they are good up close sights. I ended up putting Heinie straight eights on my 45 Tac. I like them better than any of the sights I have used to date, something about two dots verticaly lines up really fast for me..

I have Big Dots on my wife's CZ75 and my Kimber Pro Carry II. My XD 40 has the factory sights. I like the Big Dots and may get them for the XD, too.

If it's possible to buy ONLY the big dot front sight? I'm trying to customize my sight setup and am VERY interested in gaining the fast target acquisition provided by the big dots. Any ideas?
