Best night sight for BOTH day and night shooting?

What is the best night sights for BOTH day and night shooting? The problem is that some excellent night sights (XS) are not good for accurate and fast daytime shooting. I shoot very well with the standard XD 3 dot sights. So I would like to find rugged night sights that would not degrade my ability for accurate shooting at longer distances, or slow me when doing fast tactical shooting drills. Any suggestions ?

(I have to avoid fiber optic sights such as Truglo)

I really like the Heinie Slant Pro Straight 8s. I have them on my Block and am getting ready to put them on my XD. Also the Novak U rear with the tritium bar and an XS Standard dot front sight is a really good combo. I hear the TFOs getting rave reviews (anybody? anybody?), as well as the standard 3 dot style trijcon sights.

Nothing beats a fiber optic in the daytime. So I love my TFOs.

Guys how are those TFOs? Can they take the daily grind? has anyone touture tested them? I just can't seem to find out much except that SIG is buying a buttload of them.

Just awesome. I have plenty of weapons with night sights (Wilson combat, Kimber, Colt, etc.) and so far, the best I've seen for day and night are the TFO (IMHO).

Downside so far of the TFO's front sight is that they snag, unless the holsters are Kydex or leather.

I would have suggested the TFO, however he said it was not an option. They are the best sight and value on the market, IMHO.

Scott, when do you plan on having those back in stock? Wanted to order a set with the magazines I just ordered from you!

I like the updates by the way, usually I order something and its just a big black hole until it shows up on my door step. Great customer service.

Me Pleased............You Buy, You Like Also

Another TFO consumer who is very well
pleased and five sets of them installed
all on XDs.

My only objection to the TFOs when I
use to carry an XD in the CrossBreed,
is that the front site snagged. Thus, I
do not use a TFO sighted machine in the
CrossBreed.
