I used a dremel, dremel's polishing kit and a few different polishing compounds. Starting with a more abrasive to a finer compound to get it to shine up. There are a few different ways, try searching for polish barrels and you'll find some good post and different methods. I'm looking forward to later today to finally see what the new DGR and spring do.

Jetdriver.....does the name indicate your MOS? If so what are you "driving"?

I got the 22# for my girlfriend and I use the 18#.
I think it cost like $35 shipped with the guide rod.
Not to mention it is at your door step in 2-3 days from
pistol-gear.

I was a 7200 series MOS. Tactical Air Defense Controller. If you pipeline to the pointy fast ones, you'll come to rely on guys like me quite a bit. We GCI (Ground Controlled Intercept) guys are also known as the "unseen wingman". We vector you to the fight when you're BVR, help set up good angles between you and the hostiles. I got out ten years ago and became a civilian pilot. Now I fly a Falcon 2000EX

No guns, no missiles, but the pay and destinations are pretty f'in schweet.

yes but u didnt really state if the 22lb spring had a softer felt recoil than the factory set up. im particulary curious about the 22 lb spring using a 9mm service XD. i personally find the recoil on the xd9 a bit snappy compared to my sigpro. the back strap tends to slam into my web/knuckles when shooting one handed with the XD.

Nice lookin Falcon! I'm still in the wait to attend TBS. Looks like I'll be getting my orders to report August 31st so I'm stoked. Finally getting to start what I've dreamed about as a kid!

recoil spring weight

The softer the recoil spring the more recoil you will feel in the hand as the slide goes to the rear. However the sights will settle faster as the slide returns to battery. Try a 12.5 lb variable rate spring with Winchester White Box 9mm. The sights are back down on the target immediately.

Be very careful about going too light as the recoil spring locks the barrel in place & it's easy to get malfunctions. Search for posts by Rich at Canyon Creek about changing springs.
