XD GEAR HOLSTER
I bought an XD Gear polymer holster today at my local pawn shop. Even though the tension is adjustable, it's still next to impossible to draw. I've adjusted the tension--other than that, any suggestion on how to make this thing work?

Your draw has to be pretty much straight up until the muzzle is clear. Other than that, keep unscrewing the tension screw. Mine is most of the way out to get the draw how I like it.

I don't know which one you have but mine came with what looked like a slide holster. I did loosen the screw up and it pulls easy. If you got the paddle one it is a lot bigger, holster covers more of the pistol, mine just covers the trigger area. You might try to take the screw out completely and try that.

mines tight too...been thinking about leaving it sit in my car all day (just the holster) then putting the gun in there and seeing if it warps the plastic a little better. right now that tension screw has to be wide open before the thing draws decently...seems really tight on the trigger guard.

Remedy?
I was talking to a friend of mine today who had the same problem with a Fobus holster he had. Someone suggested he heat up the holster with a heat gun and wedge a few quarters in the seam near the tension screw. He didn't have a heat gun, so he just left the quarters in for a few weeks and it seemed to do the trick.
I admit I haven't tried it yet, but I think I'm going to combine a few suggestions. I think I'll wedge the quarters in the seem and leave it on the dash board of my truck in the sun for a few days and seem if that does the trick. If not, I'm putting it on Ebay! I'll keep you posted.

I'll give somebody $5 plus shipping for their XDgear holster if they don't want it. I'd buy the mag carrier too.
