Gap with Tru glo sights ?

Hi ,
I recently had Tru Glo TFO sights installed..There's quite a gap between the top of the slide and the bottom of both the front and rear sights. It measures 0.018 inches....even my gunsmith said they fit poorly.

Do all TFO's fit so poorly ? After spending > $80. (plus installation), I'd expect better.....I called customer service at Tru Glo and the lady said she'd have a tech rep call me.....So far, not a peep from the tech rep....

Apparently, $80. does not equal quality of product or service.....Just my opinion...mike

Because of the length of the sights, some gap is required. With the latest version, the gap has been reduced. Most gunsmiths are able to lessen the gap further if they fit the sights instead of just installing them.

Mine has the gap, it does not bother me at all.

If there were no gap it would probably scratch the slide when installed.
