Dawson Precision Adjustable Fiber Optic Sights
Does anyone own these, or have any experience with them? Would like to get a set for range shooting. My only concern is the fiber optic elements. How long will the elements last with average shooting, and how hard are they to change(and still look good)? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Old School sells them. He speaks very
highly of them. There have been a couple of threads on forum in the past. Maybe a search will bring a quick answer. Ed

My fiber is going on two years with over 15,000 rounds through my XDs. I like them.

Do you think they are better than the TruGlo Tritium/Fiber optic sights, or no?

They are different. The TFOs are an excellent sight, day and night. The Dawson adjustable sight are more for range use, competition. The adjustment factor lets you tweak the gun enough to hit where you want it to hit. With fixed sights, you don't have that option (easily).

I'll do a range report as soon as my gun comes back from Springer Precision.

I've used them (FO blacked out) for a LOT of rounds on my personal competition gun. |

Thanks for all the info guys. Is the a website that I can buy these from Oldschool? I'd much rather give my money to a Forum member.
Thanks Again! |

The Dawson sight is fantastic for competition!! I use the fiber front and a target (all black) rear on all of my competition guns.
