the M6 has been dropped twice from around 4-5 feet into a concrete flow, over the last 2 years, and nothing is damaged. I beleive the M6X has a brighter light.... Hope this helps. btw: I highly reccomend it. It will take some rounds to "Zero in" the laser to your sight. I have mone set for 25 yards for the CQB and 15 for the XD 45 ACP. You have to change the aligment every time you move the light to a new gun. I just created "Mark's" on mine, so when I move it, I get a close approximation, quickly. this has become trouble some, so I'm considering getting a second. I just can't get use to no having a laser now. (IMHO). |

I have the M6X and like it. Have not put it through any strenuous sessions, so not an expert on it, but like the unit. Can't recommend the best place to get one though. Had the Streamlight TLR-2 LED/laser been on the market when I got the M6X, I would have opted for the TLR-2. Midway has the TLR-2s on sale for $220.00.

..Let me just add that "Zero-ing" the Laser, is best done in a Bench/rest. It is exemly difficult to "set" the Laser, while standing (Unsupported). Beware the tiny little "tool" the give you (Allen rench) is extremly easy to lose, so I wrapped a refelective 3m tape to the middle of it, to make it easy to find i dropped.
