I need your HELP what TruGlo TFO is better Gr/Gr or Gr/Ylo

All Opinions are welcome, why do you prefer one over the other does this give you an advantage?

I am thinking of getting a set and am tossed up as to which set to get.

I have done a search for this and have not come up with the proper thread yet but I am continueing to look, there are hundreds of threads on the subject of TFO's.

Once again any help you can give would be great.

Ok, I think I can sum up the difference.

The front sight is green for both models. Green tritium is brighter (or rather, green is seen more readily by the human eye). If you want all three sights to be equally bright, go with GRN/GRN. I use GRN/YLW on both my XDs (Off duty and duty gun). I have shot for years with Trijicon Grn/Grn Tritum sights. The difference in acquisition when switching to a contrasting rear sight is impressive. My shots are MUCH quicker with these, even in low and no light situations where the fiberoptic is not assisting in the sight picture. I prefer the GRN/YLW, but it is up to personal preference. The yellow rear appear dimmer. I wish I had my camera so I could show you, but someone will come along.

Thanks for your 411 MC I have a good mental pic. of what you are saying but how much dimmer day/night would you say 20, 30, 40%. Are they lots dimmer in day time?

Like Mountain Cop, I like the yellow/green for the same reason. I have no trouble picking out the front sight and especially in the dark, no confusion as to which green dot is the front sight. I do have old eyes however, so people with younger eyes may not have that problem.
To me, there isn't much difference in brightness in different light conditions, they just remain bright and easy to focus on. They may just seem brighter in complete darkness because your eyes are drawn to them due to the absence of any other light.
It's a little hard to explain, so I hope that isn't too confusing.

I have the green/green set.

I like the green because they appear brighter. I don't have any problems picking out the front sight when shooting in low light or total darkness. But I'll admit I have never tried the yellow/green set.

Thanks I am starting to shift more towards the yellow/green version on my 45 I had in the Corps had a red front and green rear and worked great but I can't find this in TruGlo TFO's.

SnakeEater: The reason there is no RED/YLW combo is that the Tritium is Green. It wouldn't filter through a red Fiberoptic well. At least, that is my understanding.

Thanks MC for the help. I remember that the sights we had needed to be charged with a flashlight (moonbeam) if they were to work at night, and did not last long.

I think I will go with yel/grn thanks for all your help.
